:-) Yes, I forgot to say: first it was stained with walnut stain and then pig fat and bee wax, coat over coat.
I do not think hazel could handle some higher weights without heat treating, seems this is limit to be without crysals.

Hector is famous blacksmith, he shouldn't let himself to make such soft bodkin. If something is too hard bodkin should break off the tip, not curve the tip. Eddi's bodkin looks very good and his choice of spring steel is excellent- that is good steel for bodkins.

I didn't know that Hector's bodkins are soft...
On the video klip- aren't you hammering this steel too much- it seems cold last few hits, every time? I can't see very well but this one on the video seems much better geometry, good work.

Maybe if you could post some pics of full draw in front of some other background- previous pic do not allow us to enjoy in this beautifull bow,, too much details behind. Sorry if I am borring you..

One more question, I do not understand very well: when this painting was made? This is only I saw painting where warbow looks how it should look like, all other are deformated.
